 is one of London’s most iconic landmarks and one of the most popular London attractions with those tourists that wish to photograph the city’s most famous sites. Indeed the bridge is one of the most recognisable sites in the world. Tower Bridge is a suspension bridge (as well as a bascule bridge) that stands magnificently over the River Thames, connecting the East End borough of Tower Hamlets with the south-east borough of Southwark.   

Tower Bridge was opened in 1894 and became one of the most famous pieces of Victorian architecture in London. The bridge has since acquired the prestigious title of Grade I listed status from English Heritage in recognition of its architectural quality and international fame.
